Arrived in China, immersing myself into local crafts, traditional wood carving in a small workshop next to the Confucian Temple in Hangzhou.
The chosen subject is the Queen Mother of the West, a goddess worshiped in different names across Asia, Xiwangmu (西王母).
The material is camphor wood.
